I tell stories about dance using images and sound. Some of the stories are very short, some are long. Sometimes the images move and sometimes they don't. but the story is always moving.

About
Perhaps it was fate. With a director for a father and a dancer for a mother, perhaps there was no choice but to end up making dance films. I did, however, choose to marry a rehearsal director. That one's on me...
It is always an inspiring process to transform ideas made for the stage to a screen medium. With over 20 years of experience as a cinematographer, in recent years I found myself working increasingly with dance – and loving it. I direct, shoot, edit, and produce dance-based films. These include longer format dance films, documentary projects, stage-projections and marketing materials. Sometimes I work alone and sometimes in collaboration, depending on the needs of the project, but I try and learn something new from each experience.
During this period, I was blessed to work alongside some incredible choreographers and companies. These include the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company, Sharon Eyal, Alexander Ekman, Damien Jalet, Christine Gouzelis & Paul Blackman and Wang & Ramirez, to name a few.
My experience as a cinematographer taught me to tell stories of many kinds. Working in a wide range of projects - scripted, documentary, music videos and commercials, has allowed me to develop my sense of observation as well as a sensitivity to multiple perspectives and working in diverse conditions with a variety of collaborators. It has introduced me to the world and keeps me wanting to learn more and generate more stories.
